LINED TOTE BAG
Time Frame: One 3-4 hour session
Suitability: Beginners. This course is great if you just starting to learn how to use sewing machine and do basic stitching!
Skills to be learned: We will start with basic fabric knowledge - types of fabrics, weaves and their use (unless you covered that from my other courses). I will take you through basic machine stitches and their use. Then we will cut and make a lined shopping bag. This is no ordinary cheap tote bag you get for free so often these days! We will line it with extra layer of fabric for durability, I will show you little tricks that add quality to any sewn creation. This bag will last you a life time!
Description: We will create a lined tote bag, then you will have a chance to decorate it with special fabric paints to create truly personal item. I provide sewing machines, threads, fabric paints. You will need to bring your own fabrics though (main fabric and the lining fabric. I will give you all the instructions about which fabrics are suitable and how much you need with your enrolment form.
