INTUITIVE MACRAMÉ FAMILY TREE
Time Frame: Two weeks (one 5-6 hour session per week).
Suitability: Beginners.
Skills to be learned: Macramé basics - how to choose cords, several basic knots and their combinations. Intuitive combinations of basic knots to create a family tree of your own design!
Description: We will create a Family Tree Wall Hanging using 100% cotton rope. The finished tree circle is about 40-45 cm. You will have an option to add wooden beads with your family names (you will burn the names yourself onto the beads) or you can make the leaves without the beads. If you choose to burn the names onto the beads you will need to know your ancestry tree up to your great grandparents (the tree will have five generations - your children if applicable, yourself, your parents, grand parents and great grand parents). You can leave some beads symbolically empty where you don;t know the names.
